Privacy policy

What data Proof & Crumb collects, how it is used, and your rights under UK GDPR.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This policy explains how Proof & Crumb ("we", "us") handles information about visitors. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Who we are

Proof & Crumb is an independent website. For privacy questions, contact us at the email address on our contact page (being set up now).

What we collect

  • No accounts, no forms, no newsletter. We don't ask you for personal information.
  • No advertising or analytics cookies are set by this site. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future we will update this page first and, where required, ask for consent.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy and is kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
  • Email. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed.

Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links (labelled Ad). When you click one you leave our site, and Amazon may place or read cookies on your device to attribute any purchase to us. Amazon's handling of your data is covered by the Amazon.co.uk Privacy Notice and Cookies Notice. We never receive your name, address or what you personally bought – only aggregated, anonymous sales reports.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email you've sent us.

Changes

We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.
